Homeopathy is a medical system which uses tiny amounts of natural substances to stimulate the body's own healing ability. It was first discovered by German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th Century. The basic principle is that 'like cures like', in other words, a substance that can make a healthy person sick, can also cure a sick person with similar symptoms.

Homeopathy treats the 'whole person' not just the physical body, but also the mental and emotional 'body'. It looks beyond the obvious presenting complaint and deeper into all of the symptoms and feelings experienced, so that the prescription specifically fits the individual.

These natural substances referred to as remedies, are usually in the form of dissolvable little pills which are non-toxic and safe to use for everyone including babies, pregnant mothers, and the elderly. They can also be taken alongside other conventional medications.
